New classes
Beginners I:
Instructors: Louis/Janet
Schedule: every Saturday 1-3pm, for 4 weeks.
Cost: $140 per person ($120 for full-time students).
Starting on 29 July.
Beginners II:
Instructors: Louis/Janet (Monday), Jeremy/Henny (Wednesday)
Schedule: every Monday 8-10pm or Wednesday 8-10pm, for 4 weeks.
Cost: $140 per person ($120 for full-time students).
Starting on 24 July (26 July for the Wednesday class).
Note: No classes on 7 and 9 August because of National Day holiday. Classes will recommence the following week.
Introduction to Close-embrace:
Instructors: Louis/Janet
Schedule: Saturday 12 August,
- Session 1 (3.30-4.30pm): Types of embrace and how to move in unison.
- Session 2 (5-6pm): Typical close-embrace steps.
Cost: $20 per session ($15 for past students of IXI Danza).
Barridas
Instructors: Jeremy/Henny
Schedule: Saturday 26 August
- Session 1 (1-2pm): Types of Barridas(Leg Sweep) where one partnerÂ’s foot sweeps the otherÂ’s foot and places it without losing contact. Barridas can be done from either the outside or the inside of the foot of the receiving party.
- Session 2 (2.30-3.30pm): Incorporating Barridas into common dance steps -
variation of Barridas and how to execute and play with the music.
Cost: $20 per session ($15 for past students of IXI Danza).
Please register in advance because we try to limit each class to a maximum of 6 couples. Student concessions for full-time students available for all classes.
